💈Whether you want a trim, flowers or to escape the sun (& rain) with delicious food – Roman Road has got it all! I loved talking to Bow's brilliant traders about what this @UKLabour Govt is doing for them 🌹We’re helping our high streets to thrive, deliver jobs and investment
On behalf of @TH_Labour I want to express our gratitude to @darrenpjones for speaking at our fundraiser. Thank you for your motivational speech about what it’s like to be part of @UKLabour government after 14 years in opposition. You have inspired our movement for change.
Statement from the Tower Hamlets Labour Group:
My thanks to everyone for speaking with hundreds of residents across Tower Hamlets during this national campaign weekend. Rain, sun, sleet or snow nothing will stop our movement for change.
Last week, we faced a heat wave, and this week, torrential rain did not stop us from going out in Weavers, campaigning and listening to our residents' concerns.@TH_Labour @amina_ali79 @Arransvln @AnisR2014 @CllrSirajIslam @CllrSirajIslam
It was a shame we was unable to debate our housing motion in full council on Wednesday but residents can be rest assured @TH_Labour will hold the Mayor and Aspire administration to account.
Out in Weavers Ward this morning speaking with residents & housing remains a top concern. Families are dealing with overcrowding, poor conditions, and long waits on the housing list. We’re not seeing the Mayor’s promised 4,000 homes being built, residents need action and hope.
Out and about speaking to residents in Bow East with this brilliant team Great to stop by the Overland family hub 🌹This Labour Government has put in £500 million to help communities like ours, with the aim of a Best Start family hub in every local authority by April 2026!
I was out with the wonderful @Uma_Kumaran & our fantastic Bow East Cllr’s @CampaignerAbdi @CllrMarcFrancis today speaking to local business on Roman Rd followed by knocking on doors to talk to residnts about local issues. Residents of Bow East joining our movement for change!
Supporting local people is at the heart of everything I do as your MP. Today’s advice surgery in Bow was a busy one - from housing need to meaningful discussions on the ongoing welfare bill I also met a resident who is passionate about making the rail sector more accessible to…
So proud to use my first ever adjournment debate to pay tribute to the legacy of Bow’s Matchgirls Brave young women who 137 years ago this week, walked from Bow to Parliament to support the 1,400 women who walked out of the Bryant and May factory in protest at dangerous and…
Fantastic to be with @Uma_Kumaran @bplantgmb @GMBLondonRegion @GMB_union tribute to the 1888 Matchgirls Strike in Bow #UnionandProud #NewUnionism
