Tallaght Community School

Following a visit from the Minister for Education @NormaFoleyTD1 today, we are delighted to announce that Tallaght Community School has been granted a new 1000 pupil new school building including a 4 classroom SEN Base #TCS50 @accs @lecheiletrust1 @CllrMickDuff @ddletb

Our 1st year group have been working hard all year so their Year Head Ms Merrin was kind enough to organise a bowling trip as a well done!. We think they’ve been pincredible! We’ve been bowled over by them! They’re right up our lane! Okay, I’ll get my coat ……. 💙🤍💛

Our Sustainable Schools Committee has been hard at work in the community around Balrothery, Castle Lawns and Tymon helping with the sterling work people do locally for the area. Proud to be playing our part in the community. 💙🤍💛

We clapped out our colleague Phil Sheeran on Friday after 40 years of distinguished service in Tallaght Community School. A lady, an educator, a champion of literacy & numeracy in TCS - Phil on behalf of the communities you served, have a wonderful retirement. 💙🤍💛

We are very proud of our Graduates of 2025 for reaching this significant milestone. A wonderful night of celebration before they sit their Leaving Cert. Some students being the first in their family to do so. Good Luck to all our students in State Exams starting next week.

In July, 30 TCS students will travel to Spain to take part in an intercultural exchange in a summer camp with Spanish teenagers for 2 weeks. We can't wait to hear about their aventuras with PlayandSay when they return. ¡Buen viaje a todos! 💙🤍💛 ❤️💛

Our Chaplain, Mr Mullally, was commissioned by Bishop Donal Roche on Sunday for the newly formed Dublin Archdiocesan Pastoral Council. We wish him all the best for this new voluntary role he is taking on. Congratulations from your colleagues in TCS. 💙🤍💛

The award-winning @sdublincoco HeatWorks District Heating Energy Centre on the Belgard Rd was the destination for a visit by TCS students interested in sustainable living with their teachers Ms Doyle & Mr Sheridan! A veey educational trip in an excellent facility! 💙🤍💛

Fresh from the success of their Culture Day in TCS where students scared their culture with us, our TCS Global Club, led by Ms Muir, Ms Ring & Ms Quinn visited the @EPICMuseumCHQ & the Jeannie Johnston to learn about Irish culture! A fantastic trip! 💙🤍💛

Girls sport is so strong in TCS - we have girls competing in soccer [Leinster Junior League Champions], GAA, basketball, athletics, swimming - not to mention the sports outside of school - including boxing. Thanks to @HerSportDotIE for the visit this week 💪💪 💙🤍💛

Our Sustainable Schools Committee, Ms Doyle & Ms Cawley took in the new David Attenborough documentary, Ocean, this week & arrived back to us full of ideas for raising awareness for us to play our part! Well done on your work to date! 💙🤍💛
