Our 2025 State of TB Report shows that SA continues to face a high number of people with TB who remain undiagnosed & untreated. These missing cases fuel transmission in communities & delay progress in reducing TB deaths.
For RHAP, #MandelaDay means advocating for better healthcare in rural and underserved areas. In many provinces, clinics are over an hour away. Ambulances are scarce, in the Eastern Cape, there's less than 1 for every 10,000 people. This delays urgent care and affects treatment.
