🔥 Hankley Common wildfire: ‼️A glass bottle was found near the origin of the fire. Leaving/dropping litter is a criminal offence - this is the impact it can have. Take your litter home when enjoying the outdoors. 🧑‍🚒Here's more from Station Commander Matt Richardson.

Our crews tackled a fire in fields near Sandy Lane, Guildford yesterday. We had 10 vehicles in attendance and left the scene at 07:46am this morning following a reinspection. The fire has affected approximately 14 hectares of land.

We currently have 16 appliances attending a wildfire on Hankley Common, Thursley. The fire is covering approx. 8 hectares. Please avoid the area and nearby residents should close windows and doors.

We currently have 5 pumps in attendance at a garage fire in Border Rd, Shottermill and we are likely to be there overnight. For those in the local area, please keep doors and windows closed. #Shottermill

Today marks 20 years since the 7/7 London bombings, in which 52 people were tragically killed & others injured. At 8.49am today we took part in a minute silence to remember them. Their lives, bravery & courage will never be forgotten.
