Residents have a right to know who is stopping them, questioning them, and detaining them. At yesterday's meeting, I introduced a motion to ban law enforcement officers from concealing their identities. We'll vote on it July 29.
Every Purple Heart recipient has endured what most cannot imagine. They have borne wounds in defense of this country – physical, emotional, and spiritual. Today, ahead of Purple Heart Day on August 7th, I had the honor of recognizing 15 of these heroes at our Board meeting. 💜
Today we marked 70 years of Hahn family memories at @Disneyland. My parents took my brother and me to opening day—and today we saw the scroll the Board of Supervisors, including my dad, presented for their “tencennial.” This time, we presented the scroll. Congrats, Disneyland!


Thinking about John Lewis, who we lost 5 years ago today. When I served with him in Congress, we got into "good trouble" at a sit-in on the House floor, calling for commonsense gun legislation after the horrific Pulse nightclub shooting. His legacy of good trouble lives on.
