Today's #weed of the day is #houndstongue! Don't let the name fool you, it's bad news for pets, pastures, & livestock. What You Can Do: -Pull plants before they go to seed (wear gloves!) -Check your pets and gear after hiking -If you see it, call your local weed district #MNWAW

Today's #noxiousweed is dalmatian toadflax🌱 Don’t be fooled by the snapdragon-like blooms—#DalmatianToadflax is an aggressive invader. This perennial spreads fast & is tough to control. If you see it, report it! Let’s work together to keep Montana’s landscapes healthy. #MNWAW

It's MT #NoxiousWeed Awareness Week! Today's #weed of the day is #ventenata. It might look like just another grass—but it’s a troublemaker! It sneaks into fields, takes over, & makes it hard for natives to grow. Let’s protect our wild places & help the good grasses grow strong!

Next week is MT Noxious Weed Awareness Week! How can you celebrate? We encourage everyone to learn to identify & report infestations. You can also celebrate by: 🌾Organizing a #weedpull 🍃Reposting noxious weed information 🍀Talking about #noxiousweeds w/ friends & family #NWAW

Reporting invasive species is a very important part of protecting the GYE. Monitoring and reporting are critical parts of controlling invasives. Suspected invasives species should be reported to your state agencies or at inaturalist.org online or in the app! #4Good4GYE

Yesterday was National Day for Biodiversity! 🦋🌿 We often get asked about biodiversity in relation to invasive species. So, what is biodiversity? & how is it connected to invasive species? #FAQFriday #biodiversity #invasivespecies
