Also people believe my great-great-great grandmother Eliza was a witch and they constantly leave offerings on her gravestone, usually 13 pennies. When we clean the cemetery we put them in a jar and hide it under her foot stone. The ol girl probably has a good bit of money by now.

Fun lore: my family cemetery is well known for being haunted. It was a featured on a couple tv shows. This tree marked the entrance and folks claimed the devil would sit in it at night. It was struck by lightening a few years back and I kept some of the branches.
