Don’t take offence, it was never intended.
It won’t be a government regulator. It’ll be an independent one. There’s a very big difference. Don’t believe the spin from those opposing it. Ask yourself why?
You don't have to like Sullivan to know this is spot on. I'm all for a regulator, just not a government one, especially this group of lying, thieving, deviants.
Of course we’re at home. How many on the trot is that and what are the odds?
What a week for United. Knock out Barcelona, beat Newcastle to win the League Cup and beat West Ham in the FA Cup. Come from behind twice to win as well.
It’s sure to be a great night at the railway club with @AlexStepney1. 👍🏼

EtH - "We know the importance of silverware throughout the history of this great club. We are so happy to bring the trophy back to Old Trafford but we are by no means satisfied and we will not stop here". Get on board. This is just the start & it’s going to be a fantastic ride.

I’ll tell you what is embarrassing.
Can’t believe I’m watching a @ManUtd manager & players dancing with joy after winning the Carabao Cup … so embarrassing. 🙈https://t.co/A0HY7ixEoX
Really looking forward to being part of this. So much to discuss around club ownership. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0…
Welcomed, long overdue and hard fought for. The PL, FA and FL have been negligent for far too long. Supporters always want what is best for their clubs, this give them a voice that is protected. ⬇️ Thread.
Football belongs to the fans, not to the owners, nor the Premier League. Thursday’s White Paper and the arrival of an independent regulator will help empower fans. Stricter tests on owners, guarding against overspending and breakaway leagues and protecting the pyramid. 1/6
A poor but sadly predictable decision. Alcohol bans on scheduled rail services are only effective if accompanied by robust concourse security operations which themselves can cause inconvenience, congestion & safety issues for all passengers, not just fans. theguardian.com/football/2023/…

It appears we’re boiling piss again and the title race is fixed in our favour. I think we’re back. 😎
There's a War memorial not too far from Old Trafford that list his name, Alexander Turnbull. It's opposite Gorse Hill Park on Chester Rd. He doesn't have a grave as his body was never identified after being killed in WW1. He's an important part of our history.
I have posted this before but today, on February 19th, it is worth another airing. On this day in 1910, Old Trafford's opening match saw Sandy Turnbull (far right) head home the ground's first ever goal.
A gentle reminder that @allyrudd_times has been nominated for Football Journalist of the Year in the Sport Journalism awards...
Never let this be forgotten, never
But still nowhere as cruel as it was for Denis Irwin at Anfield. David Elleray sent him off with a second yellow that should never have been given and Denis missed the FA Cup final. Elleray was a disgrace.
Football can be very cruel and sadly because of a few seconds of almost doing something naturally Nick Pope Newcastle GK misses a final. The referee was correct to dismiss Pope. The authorities should delay the sanction to enable Pope to play. There I have said it.
At critical junctures in #MUFC ownership history, fans have been unanimous in thought. Protests against Murdoch + Glazers. There is a split now though. Toxic tribalism looms online. But this can’t drown out justified scrutiny of Qatar’s bid. theathletic.com/4227952/2023/0…
If you want real insight into what is happening with the sale of Man Utd, have a listen to this podcast from @AndyMitten with Jim O’Neil. A wide range of issues covered, all fascinating. It’s a great listen. open.spotify.com/episode/0mykLh…
I’ve always believed we’ve never needed a ‘Sugar Daddy’. Our club generates its own income. All we need is an owner who allows the football club to spend the money it generates. They can promise what they like but they’ll want a big return on any multi billion investment.
I bet there’s a poor bugger somewhere who’s just switched the tele on forgetting it was an early kick off.
