A friend today sent word to me from Paris--spotted on the shelves at Librairie Philosophique J. Vrin.

It was a privilege to join Thomas of @CinemaPsyop for a discussion of Drive, my favorite movie of all time. We take up a variety of topics, many of which I intend to address in my forthcoming film-phenomenology book The Imitation of Christ in Film Noir. spreaker.com/episode/drive-…
This is a very interesting article in Religious Studies, which, among other things, assesses the debate over methodological atheism in phenomenology. (The author very kindly draws upon a recent article of mine on the subject.) cambridge.org/core/journals/…
Out now
My new book, This Present World, will be out next month. "What you know best, because you learned it by an unquestionable experience, looks the most difficult to express. Every serious thinker has to face this paradox. One of the best, but most challenging tactics leads to…
This Present World is now available for purchase from @wipfandstock. It will be available from Amazon and other retailers within the next day or two. wipfandstock.com/9798385247073/…
Analyzing the subversive and psyop-heavy intentions behind Drive (2011), Thomas and Steven (@StevenDeLay4) conclude that the film retains some profoundly redemptive qualities despite its director's outspoken allegiance to the cult of the divine feminine. spreaker.com/episode/drive-…
Thomas and @StevenDeLay4 discuss the first season of True Detective. Analyzing this iconic depiction of occult conspiracy, they discuss the show's depiction of philosophical pessimism, its approach to masculinity, and the ambiguities of its conclusion. spreaker.com/episode/true-d…
Thomas is joined by @jakephas and and @StevenDeLay4 to discuss True Detective season 2. They talk about differences from season one, its treatment of masculinity and family, and its depiction of the parapolitical dimensions of the California counterculture spreaker.com/episode/true-d…
Many thanks to my friends @CinemaPsyop for having me on the program to discuss Enemy of the State, a film that has intrigued me since seeing it in theaters in 1998. To my knowledge, this is the deepest analysis of the film anywhere on offer. spreaker.com/episode/enemy-…
Mail day. Ryan drew my attention to this new book of his a few days ago. Having now flipped through it, I can tell it's one of the best collections of Christian philosophical essays in response to nihilism written in years. Definitely order a copy and tell your friends about it.

Had a surreal meeting here with the Faculty of Philosophy DGS when my supervisor was attempting to block my dissertation for the Marion chapter. Good times.
