Some of you are likely wondering why I haven't tweeted in a while, either about work at my new job or other things. On April 16, one of my sisters, Nataline Rose Kolbe, died in a car crash. Let me tell you about her (this will take multiple tweets)

😍OTD 1979: Del Unser sets a major league record with his third consecutive pinch-hit home run, a 2-out, 3-run game-winner in B9 off Rollie Fingers. Final: Phils 6, Padres 5. #phillies
NEW: The White House and its Republican allies have worked to undermine dozens of investigations into allegations they illegally withheld billions in federal funding. They have targeted GAO, a watchdog that has retained counsel for a lawsuit; no decision has been made Link below

Yes, it was necessary to feed my 11 month old child her night time bottle at like 9:00 pm. Thank you for asking.

On this day 14 years ago, I walked out of @StJude cancer-free and have never looked back. I was given a 50% chance to live, had lost my father to the same cancer & took a chance on a new transplant. Every day I win a seemingly impossible bet. #CancerSucks
3) In Pittsburgh, 1 in 4 tax-exempt properties haven't been reviewed in over a decade, our analysis found. More: post-gazette.com/business/devel…
2) Properties are supposed to be re-evaluated regularly to make sure they’re being used for charitable purposes (the main qualification for tax-exempt status). But the county office that conducts those reviews faces a critical staffing shortage and has fallen years behind.
1) If those properties were taxed, the city would collect $35 million a year — enough to give a 10% tax cut to every other property owner, or cover Pittsburgh’s entire annual emergency medical services budget.
For Sunday's @PittsburghPG, @jrcloutier and I looked at tax-exempt properties owned by Pittsburgh's largest nonprofits, worth about $4.5 billion, & what they mean to the city as it nears a budget crisis. Here's what we found:
J.J. Spaun: "I felt like I had a really good chance to win the U.S. Open at the start of the day. It just unravelled very fast. But that break was actually the key for me to winning this tournament." Nobody needed the delay more. Nobody handled it better. #USOpen #Oakmont
Big win for not only journalism in Pennsylvania, but the greater public.
