I like speeches. The emotion is real. But you can see this really get to me a few times. To hear folks chant "USA, USA" in times like these? To address UK Members of Parliament on the eve of 20 years to the day I was nearly murdered on the London Underground? It's a lot. ❤️
There's some very specific artistic choices here? I haven't decoded them yet, but every choice a poet makes is a clue: revelations of influences and meaning. There's lots of Citizen Kane here, Trump's fav movie. But why the voiceover? Why does this read like Pinter or Beckett?

5-over-1s have an authenticity problem. They often sprawl across entire blocks, fake looking materials, and use vertical material shifts to mask their scale. Our brains recognize authentic buildings instantly and that recognition can’t be faked.
Oh my, I hadn't even seen this (from @yashar) when I wrote this tweet. This is extremely transparent? "He's the ultimate dealmaker" and "with all the talk about who's being prosecuted and who isn't" are unmistakable messages for an audience of one.

For what it's worth, I think this will be Star Wars, most of all. A myth of America that will outlive us (because it will live on for a long time to come in a galaxy far, far away).

This is 100% their plan. Surge ICE into blue states & dare Dems to resist, then contest the midterms and, when they lose, blame the loss on Dems colluding with a 'foreign invasion' of immigrants to rig the vote. They'll call it illegitimate and promise crackdowns, not seats.
They're going to backtrack on every single campaign promise. Get obliterated in the Midterms. Then call it fraud. Mark my words.
