'Look deeply into the eyes of a dog and you will see the love and adoration that lies within its soul, the dog should be able to see the same'.

They appear every year, nice Common Darter around the garden pond this morning.馃グ

Interesting find, a lead, bird feeder/drinker for a caged bird. Flat backed, semi-circular frontage. Late medieval.

Cock Hotel, Kingsthorpe, Northampton, still trading, although architecturally, it is much altered.馃グ

It appears the season might be way ahead of itself this year, probably due to the prolonged warm spell. Conkers already fairly advanced and the acorns are now forming nicely.馃グ

Abington Street, Northampton, Co-op arcade and library on the right.

An outing in a Brake, for Kingsley park Methodist Church members. Northampton, 1900.

Gatekeepers (male) on Ragwort. So named because of their habit of flying along hedgerows near to field gates (apparently)馃グ

Its been a Silver-Washed Fritillary day today, at Bucknell Woods and also the scarce Valezina. This form, is a colour variation, seen in a small percentage of female Silver-washed Fritillaries. Both were a first for me.馃グ

Wood Hill, Northampton, looking towards the Market Square. Duke of Clarence pub is the white rendered building.
