Just got reminded of THAT scene in The Brutalist. It was/is so hard to watch, but I understand the reason for why it exists, now more than I did on my first watch. It’s an unflinching depiction of one man using his power over another to take advantage of him, mind, soul and body.
Ok but that one scene in Nope where a bunch of people (including women and children) are screaming and crying, begging to escape the alien’s digestive system, while slowly being digested/crushed to death is genuinely horrifying

Okay it may be the nostalgia talking, but this movie rips. Surprisingly bloody, full of gothic atmosphere and a little bit of character study for Batman. There’s more substance here than you’d think for a movie focused on Batman fighting Dracula. 8/10
