I was crying from happiness at the finish line 2 years ago. I was never athletic, even got a note to take Latin instead of taking PE all of highschool. It’s never been about exercise—it’s about the courage to keep going when things are hard. 11 days.

I’m so thankful to have been able to write this piece about the challenges and pearls of differentiating Pancreatic Cancer from Chronic Pancreatitis with @ERoldanVasquez and Dr. Kent!!

Replaced CHA or RHA from SMA makes deceased donor operation complicated. Our strategy and safe operation for total replaced CHA from SMA. The bifurcation was 4cm from Ao and retrograde dissection from hilum towards SMA was done. Warm dissection time took only 1.5hr as usual.
For Japanese resident, the postoperative illustration is mandatory, and the certificate of HPB operation also needs precise illustration. Below is my resident in Toronto. The output is not a talent, and anyone can draw with some practice. Visualization is clear method to share!
I really wanted to be able to say that it’s our family “heirloom”. #InProgress #OilPainting

Thank you for your kindness @AmairanAlicia, and for reminding me what art in medicine is all about. It is the beauty in the every day, seeing the value of the small moments that are often overlooked.
In the quiet of a short break at @HMSCountway, I found this moving medical art of Dr. Cohen (@StephCohenMD). A beautiful reminder of the art within medicine. 🎨🖼️🖌️
My partner is the kindest, most talented, patient person on the planet. Art comes in many forms!

Inspired by @FrancoisLuks’s Medical Comics course! Though honestly I do prefer being paged/called since I’d rather know what’s going on
