I was upset our National Days of Social Action didn’t get the attention it deserved especially with the topics we cover, but I realized that across the nation we are leading movements and the kids are making a difference in their communities and soon the world will catch up
Tweets like this won’t get any attention but know we ARE doing the work trying to make our voices heard. Kids can’t thrive when early learning is out of reach, schools push them out, racist systems persist, and public investment is lacking. The system is failing them—on purpose.

Today we held our National Day of Social Action on the topic of “Gun Control” #YouthArentBulletproof #ProtectKidsNotGuns
Last year’s National Day of Social Action was Banned Books
Today scholars across the nation participated in our National Day of Social Action where we talked about banned books, showed up to the State Houses, protested, etc. just to show how serious this book banning is!!

Today is the National Day of Social Action for my 2nd job and this year the focus is on public education. Our belief that education is a building block for civic life and work, and has a major impact on our children and youth’s ability to flourish
