Year 7 students on the Gilwell Park trip are having a fantastic time exploring the trails beneath the trees and taking part in team building activities.

Our Year 7 students going on the Gilwell Park trip, left school earlier this afternoon, arrived safely a short while ago and have already started to make the most of the activities on offer!

Students on the Rome trip continue to make the most of their time by visiting the sights of this famous and historic capital city. They are also getting to know the staff and students of our @sbcatrust partner school @bonuspastor as they journey together on this pilgrimage!

Today we celebrated the feast of St Benedict, patron Saint of our Catholic Academy Trust with students&staff from all of the @sbcat schools as well as @rcaoseducation at a special Mass said by Canon Victor Darlington at St George’s. May we always pray, work & celebrate together.

A first full day in Rome for St Michael’s students and their @bonuspastor counterparts. Students enjoyed exploring The Vatican in the beautiful weather. #Rome #pilgrimsofhope2025 @SBCATrust

St Michael's students arrived safely in Rome yesterday along with the students from @bonus_pastor for their joint @SBCATrust pilgrimage in this Jubilee Year. The students will be exploring all of the main sites including going through the holy door in St Peter's Basilica.

We’re very proud Mr Devine & Mr McCabe from St Michael’s had the honour of meeting Pope Leo XIV on Saturday whilst on the jubilee year pilgrimage to Rome organised by the CES. They are with @SBCATrust colleague Ms Quinn from @bonus_pastor and are grateful for this opportunity.
An incredible honor for our staff! Ms Quinn, Mr Devine & Mr McCabe from across our Trust had the privilege of meeting Pope Leo XIV in Rome. They are on a Jubilee pilgrimage for Catholic school teachers. We're proud to sponsor this journey of faith. @bonus_pastor @StMichaels_SE16
Last week, we were delighted to welcome Year 5 pupils from English Martyrs Primary School for a taster day at St Michael’s. They enjoyed a busy schedule of Computer Science, Spanish, and Science lessons - and had great fun spotting familiar faces amongst our students!

At the end of June, we celebrated our Year 11 students at their Prom- a wonderful evening to mark the end of their GCSE journey. It was a joy to see the students come together in such high spirits and enjoying a night filled with memories, music and celebration!

Year 10 students have a special assembly tomorrow morning ahead of next week’s Work Experience. A representative from Southwark LA will be outlining expectations and key guidance for the week. We wish all students well with their Work Experience placements!

Today we are thrilled to see our new Year 7 students for their Induction Day This follows on from our welcome meeting for parents and carers yesterday. It is a chance for our new students to explore the school and meet their future classmates and teachers!

Congratulations to our recent Jack Petchey Winners! The students were nominated for their outstanding contributions to school life-demonstrating, leadership, kindness and a strong sense of community. All 3 are using their award grants to organise trips for their classes.

Today, we celebrate the feast of St Peter and St Paul - two pillars of the early Church whose courage, faith, and devotion continue to inspire. May their example remind us to trust in God's guidance through every challenge
