The Guild Church for Workers, building communities of prayer and action among those who work in the City of London. A place of worship and welcome since 1280
🎉 We are delighted to publish our 2025 Annual Review! 🎉 We would love you to take a look and share with others: stkatharinecree.org/about/annual-r… Thanks to all our volunteers, friends, grassroots leaders, supporters, and partners who’ve helped make this possible over the last year!

This weekend we celebrated together for Pentecost: learning in our language class, sharing the Eucharist together, and then celebrating a big lunch (as well as a birthday presentation for our Outreach Coordinator, Kitty) with diverse neighbours and friends.

Today we have been watching the funeral of Pope Francis together in church and spending time writing and sharing our reflections on what his moral and spiritual leadership meant to us 🙏🏻 We continue to pray with and for our Catholic friends and all who grieve

We are remembering with gratitude this week the surprising part played by Pope Francis @Pontifex in the renewal of this Guild Church for Workers in the City of London stkatharinecree.org/post/papa-fran…
Ash Wednesday: a day of marking people with a reminder on our foreheads of our mortality and failures, but also the encouragement that there is always new hope and a new beginning.
We gave out beautiful copies of our Lent Devotional today inspired by our Latin American community and their home nations, and written by our own Kitty Montero Junca. Available in Spanish, Portuguese and English - let us know if you’d like a copy!

We’re looking forward to celebrating Ash Wednesday soon here at St Katharine Cree

A pleasure to speak at the launch of Faith in the City, a project of @cityoflondon to adapt to our changing religious landscape. I shared about our journey at @StKatharineCree and about how as we put roots down as religious communities we can bring the walls down between us too
We loved hosting the ‘Alasita’ celebration from Bolivia today with Corporales San Miguel! Workers in London come to this city from all over the world and we are proud to host diverse cultural events like this to celebrate their contribution.

Today on Leadenhall Street we are hosting the Bolivian cultural celebration of Alasita with dancing, food and stalls from 2pm. Come and visit!

🎶🎄It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!🎄🎶 Members of our community decorated the church this weekend ready for Advent and Christmas ❤️

Looking back with joy on a fantastic night of celebration for #LivingWageWeek at @StKatharineCree with @citizens_london - so grateful for many friends coming together to call for dignified work for all, and for everyone who contributed to this amazing event. Excited for 2025!
We were so honoured and overjoyed to be led in praise by the wonderful Gospel Choir from @stantonysFG - together we are putting Jesus at the heart of our action for justice. Thank you @masterchanmusic for your leadership
Last night, I had the honour of leading P&W with the St Antony’s Gospel Choir of @stantonysFG at @StKatharineCree in solidarity with those fighting against the injustice of low wages. Inspirational to have #JesusChrist at the centre of this work ✝️❤️ #LivingWageWeek2024
We are so grateful for the work of @citizens_london @CitizensUK organisers who do such valuable work building connections and training grassroots leaders to make people powered change possible
Wonderful to be @StKatharineCree last night for the annual #LivingWage workers service with @bishopSarahM @Theosthinktank @Cleanforgood1 @IWGBunion and @citizens_london @mrbickley reminded us “The invitation is for the church to humanise work” making it fairer and more just.
Great to be with so many friends and partners at the Living Wage Service put on by @StKatharineCree. Heart wrenching, but inspiring testimonies from many cleaners & others on what life is really like on poverty wages! We keep going.....
@Petebrierley: “We want justice - oceans of it; we want fairness - rivers of it.” Powerful words to encourage us to continue working together with the 1000’s who still don’t get paid a #LivingWage #LivingWageWeek @citizens_london @CitizensUK @LivingWageUK @StKatharineCree
Beautiful to be in church tonight with migrant workers, activists, trade unionists, organisers & friends, praying in English and Spanish, seeking justice & singing the Magnificat together. The work goes on.
