On Monday June 9, grateful son Mike Kaspar hosted the third annual QXO golf outing in support of St. Francis Hospital at The Vineyards Golf course in Riverhead. Mike is profoundly grateful for the compassionate care his late father, Thomas Kaspar.

Phil Wolhar is known as the “Miracle Man,” recovering from a brain clot. 8 years later, Phil makes his annual visit to the Cancer Institute to donate blankets on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for our patients to help provide a bit more comfort during their treatment

On Friday, we celebrated our volunteers with a lunch held in their honor. Our volunteers work across the entire hospital – comforting and assisting our patients, their families, and our visitors. This compassionate and dedicated team is a crucial resource to our staff!



We held our annual Employee Service Awards on June 12. 431 colleagues celebrated milestone years and 251 guests attended the celebration to honor them. This included one employee with 50 years of service, four employees with 45 years of service, and six with 40 years.

Today, we celebrate both a day of freedom and our diverse teams, who showcase their unique talents while providing the best possible care to all who need us, without regard to race, creed, or national origin.
