i just started DW season 11 and i'm already sorely missing peter capaldi and the previous era. i love jodie whittaker as the doctor but i'm just really not into the vibe and cast of her first season. also i miss the cold opens where's my campy sci-fi

honestly one of the weaker scenes for me. it really felt like james just wanted his own "hopeful superman speech" that could be used in tiktok edits, and it doesn't really say anything remarkable that wasn't already said more subtly.
