Speaker Adrienne A. Jones
@SpeakerAJones
Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates, 10th District, Baltimore County. By Authority: Citizens for Adrienne Jones; Arnold Jablon, Treasurer.
Happy New Year, Maryland! I wish everyone health & happiness in 2025.

Please see my statement on today’s Supreme Court rulings.

Today, we’re holding Minnesota State Rep. Hortman, Minnesota State Sen. Hoffman, and their loved ones in our thoughts. We stand in solidarity with our colleagues in Minnesota—and remain committed to rejecting all forms of hate.

We’re hours into debate on our budget, hearing from all sides on how best to protect Marylanders. I’ll be here until we get the work done. In heels.

As we continue to deal with the daily fear and uncertainty coming from this federal administration, our top priority will be protecting Marylanders.

The budget process is always a delicate balance. As we evaluate the Governor’s plan, we’ll fight to preserve the investments that are making a difference in education, child care, and healthcare.

President Carter was the ultimate public servant who believed that government can do powerful things to help regular people. My first job in local gov was due to his expansion of the Comprehensive Employee Training Act. His service will long endure. thebaltimorebanner.com/national/jimmy…
This week, as the 2025 General Assembly Session begins, we'll be on the front lines protecting every Maryland citizen. Our budget reflects our values, and it has the power to protect our most vulnerable Marylanders. This is what we'll be fighting for. marylandmatters.org/2025/01/05/des…
Happy Holidays, Maryland! Wishing everyone a blessed season of peace and joy.

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of former Delegate Jimmy Malone, after a long battle with cancer. Del. Malone served in the House for 19 years and was well known in Annapolis and Baltimore County for his huge heart. He will be sorely missed.

Please see my statement below following today’s Spending Affordability Committee meeting.

Please join me next Tuesday, December 10th for my Annual Toy Drive at the Randallstown Community Center.

I was honored to be part of a historic panel of black presiding officers yesterday at #nbcsl. Diversity in state government couldn’t be more important right now. I know we are ready to stand up for our values and protect all Marylanders. marylandmatters.org/2024/12/04/hou…
The contributions of Black women are often overlooked, disregarded and forgotten. But not on this Veteran's Day, and not in MD. Harriet Tubman became a one-star brigadier general in the MD Army National Guard posthumously yesterday, awarded the rank 110+ years after her death.

I also want to thank every MDer who voted YES on Question 1 to protect the right to reproductive freedom. But this fight is not over! It won’t be over until EVERY woman in EVERY state has the same access to the reproductive care they need to stay healthy & safe.
Don't be distracted by misinformation being spread about Question 1. Women's freedoms are on the line. Our right to choose what's best for our lives is on the line. Vote YES on Ballot Question 1. Vote for reproductive freedom.
Tonight, Maryland made history! I’m so proud that we are sending @AlsobrooksForMD to the United States Senate. I know she’s going to have our backs, especially when it comes to protecting our reproductive freedom.
Thank you, Maryland!
Thank you @iamwesmoore for visiting D-10 today to remind voters how important it is for them to support MD Dems! If you still haven’t voted yet, polls are open until 8pm tonight.

I’m with my friend @DelDanaStein talking to voters in Pikesville. If you live in Baltimore County, we need you to get out to vote today for @AlsobrooksForMD, @JohnnyOJr, and @KamalaHarris! Polls are open until 8pm tonight.
