Thailand’s General Paiboon Vorravanpreech was hosted by Space Command’s Joint Commercial Operations cell at TS25 yesterday morning. He visited with Australian, Thai and international students and staff and discussed international space operations and policy.



Today the Secretary of the Department of Defence, Mr Greg Moriarty, visited Space Command’s Joint Commercial Operations at Talisman Sabre 25 in Townsville. He met senior leaders, staff and international participants, and was briefed on JCO operations and activities.


Space Command’s Joint Commercial Operations hosted Major General Keener from US Space Command this morning at Talisman Sabre 25, to discuss workforce development, joint operations and international partnerships.


The Minister for Veterans’ Affairs and Defence Personnel the Hon Matt Keogh MP visited Space Command at Ex Talisman Sabre today where he met personnel and discussed the formation of a dedicated space workforce that will integrate with Australian industry and commercial operations


From Earth to orbit 🚀 🌏 – Australia proudly hosted the Combined Space Operations Initiative Policy and Legal Working Group LAST week in Canberra. 🌌 Partners from 10 nations worked to strengthen cooperation, champion responsible behaviours and keep space secure for all.

The Australian SPACECOMD Command Team and Australia’s Air & Space Advisor to the UK visited UK Space Command at RAF High Wycombe. Many thanks to MAJGEN Paul Tedman and his team for the great insights into the UK’s approach to the Space Domain and the Strategic Defence Review.

The Eta Aquariid meteor shower, one of the most spectacular visible in the Southern Hemisphere, is about to peak. The best time to view is from 3-5am on Thursday morning (8thof May) and it will be visible from anywhere in Australia so treat yourself!

SPACECOMD’s MAJGEN Greg Novak & SGT Shaun Hackett had the privilege of visiting Mr Jim Easton while in NZ to participate in NZDF ANZAC Day commemorations. Jim, 108, is a WWII veteran & understood to be the most senior living veteran of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals.

Welcome to World Space Week! It is timed to coincide with the October 4, 1957, launch of the first human-made Earth satellite, Sputnik and 10 October 1967, signing of the first treaty promoting responsible behaviour in Space. Work that continues to this day.
