This week, we're throwing it back to each month of the 2024-25 winter season, starting with December. Santa shredded by day and surprised little powderhounds by night. More than ripping groomers, December set the tone for a season of first chairs, face shots and fresh stoke.
Christian Allen and Kodi Kleven earned their place at the front of the pack in the Speedgoat Mountain Races by UTMB® 28k at Snowbird. Tomorrow, the 50k lays down the next challenge. If you want to see what grit looks like up close, get to the mountain early.

Hans Burkhart sights the Aerial Tram tower footings with the Hellgate Cliffs rising behind him. Instrumental in constructing the Tram and 3 original ski lifts (Gad 1, Gad 2 and Wilbere), Hans laid the groundwork for Snowbird’s opening less than 2 years later. Summer 1970.

Today, on Dick Bass Day, we honor the legacy of Snowbird co-founder Dick Bass—a visionary whose unwavering belief helped make the Snowbird dream a reality and ensured the spirit of the outdoors lives on for generations to access in Little Cottonwood Canyon. (1929–2015)
The Snowbird and Alta community came together again today for the annual Little Cottonwood Canyon Cleanup. Thank you to all of the volunteers who collected trash along 210 and help keep our home a beautiful place to work, live and play. #PlayForever

April was a leg-burner. Why choose between deep pow turns, hot laps with friends or dancing at Electronic Weekend when Surf Season had it all?
11 & 1/2 feet of champagne powder made for our 6th snowiest March on record. We celebrated surpassing 400" on the season with Olympian Bella Wright, dug out 6' of snow in 7 days to kick off Plazapalooza and Pipeline even joined the party. What more could you want?
Whether February flashes you back to using the singles line on Valentines Day, watching IFSA competitors throw down on Baldy or wishing you were cool enough to ski with The Breakfast Club, no one is forgetting the 9 & 1/2 feet of snow.
