SimpleX - the first messaging network without user IDs - private by design! Get the apps: https://simplex.chat/downloads/
And more for your security: ↔️ Private message routing to protect connections 🎭 Incognito mode for untrusted contacts 🔐 Encrypted app data, with per-file keys 📲 You own your data: move profiles to another device 🛡️ App integrity: reproducible server and desktop builds
Why @SimpleXChat over other messengers? - No phone number required - No unique ID - Decentralized - Post-Quantum encryption - Perfect Forward Secrecy - Multiple profiles - One time links for sharing your profile - No non-hardware costs to host relay - Duress PIN
Yet another effort to expose private communications to cybercriminals. It's impossible to make a backdoor that only good guys can use.
🇬🇧The latest #ChatControl proposal is more extreme than the failed 2024 version: AI is to classify our photos as “suspicious”, secure #encryption is to be destoyed, indiscriminate mass scanning of our private chats. Make sure your government opposes! chatcontrol.wtf
Use a Messenger that encrypts your messages, metadata and preferably is decentralized. When it's possible, try to be "intolerant minority" and force others to use something more secure.
Why can't a SimpleX profile be used on mobile and desktop at the same time? 📱↔️💻 A new F.A.Q section explains why SimpleX Chat does not support it yet, how it may be supported without compromising security, and what to do in the meanwhile: simplex.chat/faq/#why-cant-…
All good choices ;)

🚨Today, the EU takes a significant step toward strengthening online censorship, transforming the "Code of Conduct on Disinformation" into a mandatory part of the Digital Services Act. The DSA threatens free speech across the world and must be repealed.
European authoritarians and their enablers in the media are misrepresenting GrapheneOS and even Pixel phones as if they're something for criminals. GrapheneOS is opposed to the mass surveillance police state these people want to impose on everyone. xatakandroid.com/sociedad/cada-…
SimpleX protocol is @SimpleXChat is the future of messaging. Similar in architecture to Nostr, except servers function as queues instead of relays, and there are no identites.
@SimpleXChat is the most secure messenger. Especially paired with your own relay server (I run mine on a DIY @start9labs server). You can download the SimpleX apk and install directly on GrapheneOS or CalyxOS. SimpleX.chat.
Centralised digital IDs, if ever adopted, would increase identity theft, online crimes, and discrimination of people by the large businesses. Ask your representatives to vote against it.
Digital ID is NOT a small issue. It's an imperative enabler in the transformation of society that is occurring before our eyes. Without it, total centralisation cannot occur. It could be the key that locks the door on your freedom. Resist it with everything you have.
🆕 BREAKING: The push back against TCNs grows, as WhatsApp has just announced it is asking to intervene in Apple's, PI's and @libertyhq's challenges to the UK's secret surveillance regime which could force companies to break encryption. ft.com/content/e870f1…
Use both, just for different things. Telegram is great for content and publishing - it's impossible to compete with the choices it provides. SimpleX Chat is ok for personal and business communications – and we're making it better, where it falls short. Each to its own.
Don't use Telegram. Use @SimpleXChat
