When we talk about the student mental health crisis, we often focus on diagnoses. But stress, especially from work, caregiving and isolation, can be just as harmful. Empathy and connection matter when it comes to retention and completion. #KYHigherEdMatters
Participated in a Sandtray training this week. Learned about using this method - how trauma shows up in the sand, why it can unlock deep healing, how key trauma themes show up again and again, and how and what to say (and what not to say). And I won a welcome box!!

Great day learning 1-2-3 Reset: A Trauma-Sensitive Guide to Behavioral Intervention. Participants left with the 8-week intervention book, a wobble seat, book, fidgets, sand timers, hand therapy sponges, hoberman sphere, sensory discs, chair bands, and a weighted animal! @GRRECKY
