Jews are being attacked on the streets, campuses, in airports, in our homes, and in synagogues. Nowhere feels safe. We need those who claim to be our friends to passionately and unequivocally condemn antisemitism. Silence is not neutrality; it's complicity. Please stand with us.
“We need allies who show up not only when Jews are murdered or attacked, but also when Jews are vilified.”
My OpEd in today’s @nytopinion calls out how unchecked antisemitic rhetoric, even from progressive spaces, creates the conditions for violence against Jews. We need stronger and louder allies willing to calling out antisemitism in all its forms. nytimes.com/2025/06/03/opi…

This bill is a moral failure. It takes food from children and healthcare from those who need it. This is cruelty, codified into law. Today we mourn. Tomorrow we mobilize. Everyone who voted for this must hear from the constituents whose dignity and safety they just traded away.
Yesterday, I issued this statement on behalf of @NCJW condemning the Senate budget bill as a moral betrayal:

Today is 3 years since Roe was overturned. We remember the women and girls forced to carry pregnancies, denied care, and silenced. We mourn those whose stories we’ll never know. Abortion bans don’t just strip away rights, they shatter lives & violate our Jewish belief in dignity.
A peaceful Jewish march in Boulder calling for the release of hostages held by Hamas was just met with firebombs. This was a violent, targeted, antisemitic attack. To be clear: antisemitism doesn’t make anyone, including Palestinians, safer or free. It must always be called out.
President @JoeBiden has led with heart and persistence on cancer research and healthcare. Today, we offer him our hearts in return. Wishing him a r’fuah shleimah — a complete recovery — and holding President Biden, Dr. Biden and their family in our prayers. ❤️
The American people elected Donald Trump as president, not king. He does not have the power to unilaterally dismantle the Department of Education — that authority belongs to Congress alone. The mere suggestion that he does should alarm the entire nation.
Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion is not political—it’s moral. It is about treating every person with dignity and fairness. It’s about creating work spaces and schools where all people—regardless of their race, religion, gender, or abilities—can thrive. #DemandDiversity
A moral nation ensures that every woman, every child, and every family has what they need to thrive. Justice, dignity, equity, and compassion must guide our policies. We must always work to make that future a reality.
1 in 5 women experience sexual violence in college. This dangerous rollback changes Title IX from a law that protects women, girls, and LGBTQ students into one that shields schools enabling harm. All students should be able to live free from violence. nytimes.com/2025/01/31/us/…
SNAP, WIC, & Head Start programs are lifelines, not luxuries. Denying them isn’t just harmful—it’s a betrayal of our nation’s moral obligation. A just and compassionate society does not turn its back on those in need.
I’m proud to stand in solidarity with my Jewish friends — in both parties. If speaking out against antisemitism makes be biased? So be it. We MUST speak out against antisemitism wherever it exists: on campuses, in politics, and yes — even in American media. cc: @SheilaKatz1
Horrified by the attacks tonight in Amsterdam, which are terribly reminiscent of a classic pogrom. I am also deeply disturbed by how long the reported attacks lasted and call on the government to conduct a thorough investigation into security force intervention and on how these…
I’m attending #WeStandTogether in Washington, D.C. this Sunday to show my support for the Jewish community and take a stand against antisemitism. I’m excited to be a part of this event and I hope you’ll join me and @NCJW in attending. Register here: StandTogetherNovember10.org
