Why would a church that loves its families stay silent in the face of this cancer in their congregation? If Chip and Joanna are faithful members this is a great time to model repentance. If not, the pastor faces the curse of the millstone for allowing evil to take his flock.
It’s been 7 years since the church has posted and 5 years since the pastor has posted anything on X. It would seem that just like the historic Antioch, there’s not been a word in a long time.
Cowards in SBC leadership make proximity bias their guiding principle in a day when we need conviction. Their default setting is “ I know who that is so he must be a good guy.” How much better if SBC men would default to “I know that man but must confirm he is no wolf.”
