Waited until I passed the EPPP (as of yesterday)… Thrilled to announce that I accepted a tenure-track offer in the Psychology Department of The University of Alabama in Huntsville!! I am so excited to build my lab (stay tuned!) and join the welcoming department.
Saddened by so many things that are happening in the country. “For young researchers, “there is a lot of pressure to essentially leave the country or not pursue research,” says Emilya Ventriglia, a neuroscience Ph.D. student at Brown University…” science.org/content/articl…
Very excited to share I have been awarded the Walter Benjamin Post-Doc Fellowship from the DFG for my project on healing conflict through understanding victimhood narratives. Will be conducting this work @UniofOxford with the wonderful @Shelley_McKeown starting in September 25
📢 It's official: I'm super excited to share that I'll be joining Rice University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences! Lab will launch in Summer 2026— I'll be recruiting over the next year, so please spread the word! Short thread ⤵️
Excited to explore whether there is "too much" intellectual humility in the context of conspiracy belief with one of my favorite colleagues (turned research adversary🙃)! Thanks to UPenn's Adversarial Collaboration Project for the opportunity.

We are excited about our latest paper published in Nature Reviews Psychology: Psychological Insights for Judging Expertise and Implications for Adversarial Legal Contexts Read & share here: rdcu.be/edUCO #Law #Psychology #Expertise #Expert @NaturePortfolio
Read my latest #research on #psychology, published in Nature Reviews @NatRevPsych Read & share here: rdcu.be/edUCO
Thanks to @lkfazio for treating the lab to the Chicago Architecture tour!!

So proud of our stellar undergraduate RAs for presenting our new research at @MidwesternPsych! My talk (with @CharlesSenteio and @lkfazio) on predictors of health-related conspiracy belief across racial identities will be at 9:15am this Saturday!

I will be teaching two courses in the fall, both for upper-level undergraduates! One will be on Theories of Counseling and one will be a small seminar on the Psychology of Misinformation. If anyone has taught these classes, I would love ideas, input, and tips!!
📣Now hiring! I'm looking to recruit a full-time Research Specialist (Lab Manager) to join the Social and Moral Learning Lab at UW Madison starting this summer! Apply here: jobs.wisc.edu/jobs/research-… (application deadline March 21, 2025)
Breaking news: Thousands of researchers and their supporters, including recently fired federal workers, have gathered across the U.S. in response to layoffs and funding cuts ordered by the Trump administration. scim.ag/3FlSKvz
