those who know don’t talk and those who talk don’t know
My ego-related commitments: 1) I will not victory lap. It’s obnoxious and compounds confirmation bias. 2) I will not talk shit. I want to prioritize learning over being right. If I do either, I invite you to call me out. And yes I’ve done plenty of both.
Thank you for the reminder that ego is my biggest weakness and obstacle. Mahomes played badly. It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last time I am wrong predicting an outcome. The goal remains: incorporate new information, adjust accordingly. Grow, evolve, win.
Reminder (NFL): It’s confirmation bias szn. You have opinions. You will see evidence that reinforces those opinions and your brain will eat it up. Your brain will ignore evidence that counters your opinions. Be skeptical and adaptable. Do not attach your ego to your opinions.
Every fantasy football creator out there in 2025: “Hey ChatGPT, here is my rankings list from last season. Craft me a tweet that maximizes engagement focusing on which players I was high on that outperformed. Please ignore any players I was wrong about.”
There are two kinds of men in the world: men who have never flown out of the Denver airport and men who have piss on the bottom of their shoes
The Bengals beat one (1) team last year with a QB who is still starting for that team going into 2025

Don’t understand why people say “bookmark this” or “revisit this in x time” after a controversial prediction because people will only bring it back up if you look like an idiot and if you bring it up yourself you are just seen as a tool who cherry picks their good predictions
show makers pretty cruel to burrow showing him on the bench bragging about his career high TD game (which he eventually lost on a pick) in the same episode with goff completely unaware he broke the nfl perfect completion % record in a win
True curiosity about a topic is a pre-requisite for mastery. It’s incredible how many people who clearly demonstrate a lack of curiosity talk about a subject with confidence. I’m sure this includes me.
Complex tax provisions are one of (many) mechanisms for consolidating wealth and power.
The cost of taking my $50 cat to the vet is wild, like imagine if you went to get your car fixed and they were like “that’ll be $800,000” with a straight face
The Republican playbook of getting into office, transferring an insane amount of wealth to rich people, and then blaming them next administration for the debt and income inequality is so incredible because it just keeps working

Looking forward to seeing how Kubiak builds on his first year in Seattle, thanks ai
