Personal news: I have taken the tough decision to retire as Councillor for Eccles.

With the boundaries changing, Eccles will no longer be in @RLong_Bailey’s constituency, but she served the people of Eccles so well, and we were so lucky to have her represent us for the past 9 years. Good luck Becky, you’ll smash it for Salford as always ✊🏾

𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 Crossing Monton Green by Park Rd is incredibly difficult. 1000s of children need to cross here to get to school-with the difficulty we had hiring a crossing guard, we pushed for a more permanent solution.

Great news everyone! The Planning Instpectorate have refused the appeal to have a waste facility on Lansdowne Road. Thank you to everyone who came and spoke at the hearing, this was a real community effort and we’re so pleased with the result
