Lies, as usual 🇦🇱 The ICJ 🇺🇳 stated that unilateral declarations of independence as “mere statements” are not prohibited under general international law. However, the Court was very clear that it took no position on the legality of secession or whether "Kosovo" is a state.
15 years ago today, UN's International Court of Justice found that Kosovo's declaration of independence did not violate international law or UNSC resolution 1244. Serbia itself had brought the case regarding 🇽🇰 declaration of independence to the ICJ.
