It was wonderful to join Chesterfield County Public Schools families from every zip code this evening for El Librotazo—the Big Book Party. Through community partnerships, every student was able to select five books to bring home, helping instill a love of reading.

I’m excited to be in Alabama, y’all, for the 2025 Southern Legislative Conference of the Council of State Governments! As the recently-elected Chair of the SLC Education Committee, I know that we will have comprehensive conversations about the education systems within our states.

The passage of Trump’s disastrous tax bill is a stunning betrayal of Virginia families. As Virginia’s next Lieutenant Governor, I will keep fighting to protect Medicaid, defend reproductive freedom, lower costs, and ensure no Virginian is left behind.

Republicans are plowing forward with the Big, Ugly Bill. So far, we’ve forced votes to remove $1 TRILLION in Medicaid cuts, protect rural hospitals from closures, undo nutrition assistance cuts, and more. Republicans blocked them all. They only care about billionaire tax cuts.
