Thank you to everyone who joined us at last night’s community naloxone training with @BurdickAD93 and Legislator Erika Pierce. A special thanks to @NYSOASAS instructor Mandee Nann for her excellent guidance on how to safely administer this life-saving medication.

Overdose deaths dropped by 27% in 2024--the first significant decrease we have seen in 20 years. Real investments in harm reduction strategies are the reason why. Cutting a $56M federal grant that gives first responders access to life-saving naloxone simply makes no sense.
Clean energy is already strengthening grid resilience in enterprising communities—and preventing widespread blackouts, like during a recent heatwave in New England. It also saved those ratepayers over $8M. This is the kind of resilience we need across NY. grist.org/energy/a-heat-…

Clean water is a human right. Slashing federal funding for clean water infrastructure—like the Clean Water State Revolving Fund—puts public health at risk and puts undue burden on local taxpayers. Call your federal reps and let them know we strongly oppose these reckless cuts.

I was thrilled to help the Village of Brewster secure a new police vehicle with $50K in state funding I obtained. This marks the third vehicle I've delivered since taking office—an investment in public safety and the officers who keep our community safe.

Immigration has been one of our nation’s greatest strengths since its founding. Stoking fear and hatred toward those who come here seeking a better life doesn’t make us safer—it diminishes who we are.
I was honored to join Putnam County in celebrating our newest U.S. citizens at today’s naturalization ceremony. Thank you to Clerk Michael Bartolotti for organizing this, and congratulations to all on a profound milestone. Your voices and values strengthen our communities.

This Plastic Free July, let's take meaningful action to reduce our reliance on single-use plastics and confront the growing health risks posed by micro- and nanoplastics.
The Croton Animal Hospital was named the 13th best animal hospitals in the nation this year! I was proud to present a NYS Senate Empire Award to the owner and staff today in recognition of their excellence, compassion, and service to our community.
