NEW from me: Virginia Democrats defend state colleges ahead of legal fight #valeg @SpeakerDonScott @SenLouiseLucas @GovernorWilder @delterrykilgore wvtf.org/news/2025-07-2…
A huge thank you to my dear friend, Chairwoman @SenLouiseLucas and all the legislators who stood firm year after year to kill the Greenway bailout bills. This foreign-owned highway robbery monopoly had no business getting a taxpayer-funded rescue from the Commonwealth.…
The Virginia Supreme Court’s decision today upholding the SCC ruling against @GreenwayRt267 is a major win for Loudoun drivers—Greenway lost. It’s consistent with my decade-long fight against this ‘Highway Robbery’. Thank you @LoudounCoGovt for staying the course. #tolls…
I remember.
Remember when Virginia Senate Republicans passed gerrymandering redistricting plan(s) in 2013 to take the majority while Sen. Henry Marsh was at Obama’s inauguration in DC, giving them the one vote margin of victory they needed? I do.
We promised toll relief for Hampton Roads and delivered $101 million dollars including $36 million in toll debt removed for residents of Portsmouth and Norfolk. Proud to deliver this historic victory for our region with @SpeakerDonScott.

Honored and privileged to participate in the amazing celebration of I. C. Norcom High School Teacher and Coach Mr. Horace Savage on the occasion of his 100th birthday. He continues to inspire us with his wit and wisdom.

Honored to participate in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for HRCAP. Prior to my election to the Senate of Virginia, I was CEO for the STOP Organization - one of the largest Community Action Programs in the state.

Today, I donated $3 million in contributions to grow our Democratic majority in the House. If you care about our rights, our economy, and our Commonwealth—get involved. If you can’t give, volunteer. Let’s get to work:
Pictured with Congressman Bobby Scott at the “Roundtable Discussion” about the impact of Trump’s big ugly bill on the resources of the Commonwealth. #Medicaid #Education #Snap #ChildCare and the list goes on and on and on.

Just wrapped up a great roundtable discussion with @BobbyScott & area leaders at An Achievable Dream Academy, on the threats to public education caused by federal cuts. As a member of the House Emergency Committee, I’m committed to standing up for our students and educators.
Virginia’s plummet in the best states to do business list is entirely from the policy choices of the Trump and Youngkin administrations. The entire Commonwealth suffers when our federal workers are under attack.
If just the Hampton Roads delegation to Congress had voted no on Trump’s big ugly bill then it would have failed today. Jen Kiggans and Rob Wittman let us down. This should leave all of us determined to change our delegation in 2026 and make sure this can never happen again.
Let me get straight to the point: Trump’s ugly big, bad bill is a direct attack on the people of Virginia. It’s a tax scam for the wealthy, a slap in the face to working families, and a threat to everything we’ve fought for in our Commonwealth.

CA #1, but then it's Red States whose representatives voted for the One Big Greedy & Job/Medicaid Killing Bill that round out the rest of the Top 5: FL #2 TX #3, NC #4, GA #5. Cue up FAFO!
Terrific attendance at our town hall meeting in Chesapeake tonight!

You have until 7- get out now!
With the polls open in Fairfax until 7 pm today I want to reiterate my strong endorsement of Senator Stella Pekarsky for Congress. If you want a fighter that will keep Donald Trump in check then you need to VOTE TODAY for Stella!
