The Rainmaker (1997) is notable for reuniting the director and star of Rumble Fish. (Ooh, pinch me.)😏 Audience-pleasing lawyer stuff with a good cast including Scheider, Stockwell and my boy @jonvoight. 👵🏼🍿

One year before Airplane!, The Concorde…Airport ’79 put the final nail in the coffin of air disaster movies with an all-star cast including John Davidson, Jimmie Walker, Martha Raye, Avery Schreiber and Charo. I say it still holds up and I’m never wrong. 😑

Yeah but everyone agrees that Jaws The Revenge is the better movie. 😑
Eddie’s death in Jaws 2 is the best in the film and holds up against the original film’s kills. Well shot, edited and acted. Check it on @netflix
I am Harry’s bad hat.
“I am Chrissie’s partially denuded bone, without me, Chrissie could not get naked with random college guys, run on the beach, or swim. There’s a whole series of these. I am Alex Kintner’s pruned fingers. I am Ben Gardner’s head.”
Ever wondered what dreams and goals a legend like Neil still has? You might be surprised…👀 Watch the full Writers Series episode now on the @primarywave YouTube channel! Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=TWZnH9…
The Towering Inferno is the finest motion picture ever produced. Stack the most glamorous movie stars like cordwood in a blazing skyscraper and have them perish in ghastly ways. The Poseidon Adventure was GoodFellas and this is Casino. We may never love like this again. 👵🏼🍿🔥👨🚒

The Hustler (1961) is one grim movie but its cast is dynamite: Newman (The Sting), Gleason (The Sting ll), George Scott (The Exorcist lll), Murray Hamilton (Jaws 2), and Piper Laurie (Carrie). Lots of billiards and bourbon. 👵🏼 🎱🥃

Mamet’s 2nd directorial feature Things Change (1988) depicts two mooks living large in Tahoe on The Don’s dime. Similar to De Palma’s Wise Guys (1986) though not as broad. Mantegna is excellent, along with the familiar Mamet troupe of actors. 👵🏼🍿

Though not as hilarious as Over the Top, 1991’s Oscar is a fun, cute movie with a tremendous cast including Princess Aura from Flash Gordon and Joey Travolta. Peter Riegert is funny and so is Marisa Tomei and Tim Curry. 👵🏼🍿

Neil’s iconic song “Breaking Up is Hard To Do” was re-imagined as a slow version…which do you like better? Comment below!
The Formula was a big deal in 1980 ‘cause it paired the two biggest stars in the world, and they are a hoot. So-so murder mystery from the director of Neighbors. Co-starring Senator Geary, the broad from Marathon Man, and Rostov from Invasion USA. 👵🏼🍿⛽️

The 2001: A Space Odyssey blu-ray features an exemplary commentary track by stars Gary Lockwood and Keir Dullea. They provide highly informative and entertaining recollections about their involvement in the production of the masterpiece. 👵🏼 🌖

Watching Polanski’s decent 1988 kidnap thriller Frantic. Ennio Morricone score. Harrison Ford is such a terrible actor and it’s hilarious when he tries to emote, but also infuriating that he couldn’t do that for Ridley. What a fucking asshole. 😠

This is one of the most disgusting moments in television history. Colbert’s show should have been cancelled halfway through this propaganda horse shit.
In case you’re wondering why Stephen Colbert’s show got canned lmao
Cannon Films’ The Naked Face (1984) stars post-Octopussy Sir Roger Moore as a Chicago shrink hounded by a killer. Mildly engrossing but slow. Worthwhile for its cast: Rod Steiger, Art Carney, Anne Archer, David “Felix Leiter” Hedison, and dumb Elliott Gould. 👵🏼🍿

The Murders in the Rue Morgue (1986): average TV-movie with solid work by George Scott & Ian McShane. From the director of Jaws 2. Co-starring the broad from Runaway Train and Kilmer from Batman. 👵🏼📺 🐵

Mark Lester directed Firestarter (1984) like a TV-movie: point A to point B. No flair. Film needed someone with style, e.g. Michael Mann. Look at how Kubrick, Cronenberg & Carpenter elevated King’s stories. The role of the kid needed a girl like Tatum O’Neal in Paper Moon. 😕🔥

Dude, I finally caught the COVID!😷 That’s like saying, “I just started watching The Wire”. I’ve lost ten pounds; you should see me in my swimsuit. I feel like Belushi in Trading Places: “Hey, look what happened to me!” @weirdmedicine
