Final Fantasy never should've strayed away from turn based systems like it had for the first 10 games. Also, if it went back to turn based systems for future mainline games, we'd see huge numbers of fans returning to the franchise and sales would almost certainly increase.

Makes me think about how dev quotes get weaponized. People say, "the devs have said it's not a sequel"—but they've never said that. Closest wording is "follows" the OG. But no one cites lines like "kept the original IN MIND." Saying you keep something in mind is so evasive 😂
If Remake is just the OG with expansion, then why isn't Ever Crisis following its version of events? Because it's just the OG, with expansion, right? And the expansions all fit the OG, right? RIGHT!?
