The Tigersβ August schedule doesnβt look very difficult. A bunch of games against the Angels, Minnesota, KC & Oakland. And might be facing a completely depleted Arizona team next week. If they continue to struggle it wonβt be because of the schedule.
I get frustrated with Detroit fans at times, but itβs times like this where I feel like I can relate to any fan. The unfortunate reality is that we are nearing 20 years without a championship and most of these teams have been god awful for that time frame. Itβs been a prettyβ¦
It really is amazing that the Tigers have gone almost 3 weeks now without getting a single big hit. The closest thing to it was Rogersβ 3-run HR at Pittsburgh, but they were already down 5-0. The Vierling 8th inning single to beat Texas is not really what Iβm referring to,β¦
AJ Hinch looks pretty defeated in the press conference and admits that the team has lost some of its indentity.
I donβt really want to go down this rabbit hole again but I think I may anyway. The Tigers were spot on in identifying Alex Bregman this offseason. Next time, though, letβs just get it to the finish line. I think itβs worth it when you identify someone as a perfect fit forβ¦
We should try the hitting home runs and getting hits thing when we arenβt down by 30.
AJ Hinch should pick the lineup out of a hat tomorrow.
Hate to be that guy, but Iβm seeing some quit in this group over the last week. No fight. No intensity. Fold like a cheap accordion at the very first sight of any adversity. No leadership. Iβm sorry, but this is pathetic. They should be embarrassed of themselves.
Thank god the Lions start next week.
Can do nothing but laugh at this point at the immediate double plays. Would love the research/stats of how much the Tigers are not scoring leadoff batters in this stretch. Feels like they still get plenty of them on. Itβs just a lot of that.
