Never did I imagine that this kid who grew up in New Jersey would one day be at the White House. It has been an incredible honor to serve as our nation’s first Second Gentleman.
From District Attorney of San Francisco to Attorney General of California, to United States Senator, and then Vice President of the United States, I’m incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished and all that lies ahead. Every day, I feel so lucky to be by your side. Love…

Doug and I continue to pray for all those impacted by the wildfires in Southern California. The latest reports indicate that at least 24 people have lost their lives as a result of the wildfires. Thousands of homes, businesses, and community spaces have been destroyed. President…
My heart is hurting for our community as the devastating wildfires rage over Southern California. Thank you to the firefighters and first responders working tirelessly to protect Californians. Please continue to listen to local officials and follow evacuation orders.
I am thinking of those impacted by the wildfires in Southern California and praying for the first responders who are taking heroic action to help keep communities safe. Please listen to local officials, evacuate immediately if you are told to do so, and take care of each other.
Some of my favorite moments from 2024 included traveling across our great nation and meeting new people. Thank you for welcoming me to your communities and sharing your stories with me.

Our world is a better place because of President Carter. His life and legacy continue to inspire me — and will inspire generations to come.
Doug and I were honored to speak with service members on Christmas and thank them for all that they and their families sacrifice to keep our nation safe.
When I was growing up, Kwanzaa was a special time of reflection with family and friends. Let us carry the wisdom of the seven principles with us as we work to build a brighter future. Happy Kwanzaa.
With @VP’s support, I’ve lived openly and proudly with Jewish joy over these past 4 years. Today, I rededicate myself to finding light in the darkness and spreading that light to others. Wishing everyone meaningful and happy Hanukkah!
From our family to yours, Merry Christmas. We wish you a holiday full of love, peace, and light.
Happy holidays from the Vice President’s Residence!
I’ve been a lawyer for over 30 years. Throughout that time, I’ve supported pro bono work and improving access to justice, including as Second Gentleman. I am proud of all the Biden-Harris Administration has done to eliminate barriers in the legal system and provide underserved…
Today, I spoke with young leaders who have committed themselves to serving their communities and improving our nation. My message to them is clear: Do not let anyone or any circumstance deflate your spirit or sense of purpose.
12 years ago, 20 first-graders and six educators were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School. They should still be with us—finishing their first semester of college, teaching, laughing, and making new memories. We must honor their memory with action that addresses gun violence.
Celebrated a special evening with my amazing wife, @VP.

Under the Biden-Harris Administration, our nation has seen the three strongest years of small business growth on record. Visiting these businesses is one of my favorite ways to learn more about our communities. I encourage everyone to get out and support America’s ambitious…

Doug and my prayers are with Ronen and Orna Neutra and all those who loved their son, Omer, an American, who we now know was killed by Hamas as part of its brutal terrorist attack on October 7, 2023. The Neutras have been through a devastating ordeal these past 423 days, and…
Yesterday, Doug and I spoke to U.S. service members deployed overseas to wish them a happy Thanksgiving. They have extraordinary skill, discipline, and dedication. They are an essential part of our nation’s strength. And we are forever grateful to them.
Each time I visit DC Central Kitchen, I am inspired by the work they do to uplift this community. Thank you for giving our family the opportunity to give back on Thanksgiving.
