🛠 Building apps in public: @habitkit 💡 Sharing my learnings about development, marketing and sales
This is so crazy: My app @HabitKit is displayed on a huge billboard on Times Square in NYC! Thanks to @RevenueCat for making this happen!
Just started reading "My Indie Book" by @tdinh_me. I was always fascinated by his journey and used all his apps (BlackMagic was my favorite). Hoping to learn from one of the best in the indie game 👌

Having savings when I went full indie back in 2022 was super important for my journey. It gave me room to experiment and the freedom to build without panic. Don’t quit without a backup plan. Burnout hits fast when rent depends on day 1 revenue.
Summer is a double-edged sword for my indie app business. Growth slows down heavily. But churn drops, support emails quiet down, and users who stick around are truly engaged. Not bad, just different.
Got this review for HabitKit and it made my day: “...actually helps me stay on track without feeling overwhelming.” That’s the goal. Build better habits without burnout!

The state of Android development 😭 Home screen widgets are broken on Android 15 for some users and I have no idea how to fix it...

just bought my first indie dev product. i fkn love @SebastianRoehl's HabitKit. clean. fast. just habits that stick.
More progress on the side project: • Added a detail sheet for each practice type • Added some kind of leveling structure, so users can slowly progress their skills. The first level will only use on String and only root notes, the last level will have every string and note
TIL how animations work with SwiftUI. Much more intuitive than how it's done in Flutter IMO 👌
