Before leaving Las Vegas, and before the Kings appeared in the NBA Summer League Final, I spoke with Nique Clifford about the impact he's had on his team, his excitement for his future with Sacramento & the familiarity he has with a couple of teammates.

Free agent Doug McDermott has agreed to a one-year, $3.6 million deal to return to the Sacramento Kings, Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. McDermott will enter his 12th NBA season after shooting 44% from 3 in 42 Kings games in 2024-25.

The Kings come up short in the NBA Summer League final. Sacramento trailed by 18, but unable to hold-off Kon Knueppel (21 points) and his Charlotte Hornets. 83-78 the final. Isaac Jones a game-high 24 points & 11 rebounds for Sac.

Kings meet the Cavs at 12:30p as they look to improve to 4-0 in Summer League. Mason Jones is sidelined with Right Oblique Soreness, while Sacramento will have Maxime Raynaud available after missing Monday’s game due to Right Wrist Soreness.

The All-Star Game will be decided by a Home Run Derby. The participants: American League: Jonathan Aranda, Randy Arozarena, Brent Rooker. National League: Pete Alonso, Eugenio Suarez, Kyle Schwarber. Each batter will get three swings. The team with the most home runs wins.

Mason Jones called for a timeout after seeming to suffer an injury. He was grabbing his right hip/back. Heard him tell a trainer “I can’t go.” He was grabbing the same spot earlier in the game. Still appears to be dealing with discomfort on the bench.
