In difficulty in the water? Remember these tips and float to live. Your legs may sink and that's okay! Everybody floats differently. Practise at a safe location like a swimming pool to learn how you float best. In a coastal emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Even with a life jacket on, it is difficult to escape from the pool at the bottom of the waterfall, which has a drop of just one meter. This shows how dangerous the river can be. So what should be done in such a situation?

Running 128 marathons in 128 days, we want to say thank you to Leodhais, who is raising money for us in memory of his brother, Conor, who passed away in 2018 after entering the water. Leodhais said: ‘I'm incredibly thankful to the @TynemouthRNLI crew for the work they did.' 💙
