Well done to those who pinpointed last week's #carspotting image correctly - it was the A80>M80 upgrade at Haggs near the Castlecary Viaduct! Here's a broader view of the same section in 2010. Carspotters - can you ID these fairly modern cars? Comment below! #Archives #Scotland

#OnThisDay in 1993 the A8 Gogar Roundabout underpass was opened to traffic. Designed by Scott Wilson and built by Balfour Beatty, it cost over £7 million and was part funded by the Gyle Shopping Centre. It remains a busy junction at the end of the A720. #Archives #Edinburgh

Opened in October 1972, Craigellachie Bridge on the A941 bypassed Thomas Telford's grand arch bridge built in 1815. It was designed by W.A Fairhurst & Partners and built by Miller Construction. Beautiful part of the country and well worth a visit. #Scotland #Archives

We were on #Glasgow's Clydeside Expressway the other day and it reminded us of several old images of it that we've not yet shared. What location is this? When could this have been taken? Tell us your #carspotting guesses too! Looking forward to your comments. #Archives #Scotland

Here's a view looking south along the old A9 at Guay Farm from the mid-1970s. This section of road was replaced by the Dunkeld Bypass when it was completed in 1977. Some nice old cars on display here too. Who remembers the old route for the A9? #Archives #Scotland #1970s
