Ty for pointing it out @JamesHaddadMD @BilalMohammadMD. We previously compared 2nd look techniques in SRMA 👇 ➰🆚🫵 Retroflexion 🆚2nd Forward view 🙏@DrFkamal thieme-connect.com/products/ejour…
Great study/SRMA! Love second retroflexed view of right colon. Trying to also feel good about a second forward view - almost always implies patient had very narrow right colon.
Absolutely! I always go back and look at BPPS. Always worried about missing things if not 8/9 on score
You mean as to why you didn't retro? Usually my first choice as well, but find it more challenging in the significantly loopy than anyone else.
Very common scenario in practice! 👀 withdrawal time? 👀 high-def colonoscope? 👀 bowel prep adequacy? 👀 right colon retroflex photo? 👀 good photos of <1cm polyps? 👀 resection technique? Cold forceps 😬 If concerns, discuss with patient. I almost always find more TAs.
That being said, I rarely find advanced adenomas that would’ve made a difference with an extra 2 to 5 years.
This is so interesting. We have not yet fallen in line with the ❄️ revolution at my institution. How often do you see significant immediate bleeding with cold snare polypectomy of large non-pedunculated lesions and is that why some may be scared to adopt? @BilalMohammadMD
I do not believe this has reached prime time yet given limitations and costs, but just like liquid biopsy for cancers, will improve with ongoing research and refinement
CT colonography. Its also important is that some patients don't want colonoscopy. But they may change their mind if they have a different screening test come up positive. Its also good to know the issues with screening uptake in the USA, which limits it's utility.
Thank YOU to everyone for Rapid 🔥🔥 session on “#ColonCancerScreening ” ✅collab btw @ACG_EBGI & @ScopingSundays We would like to THANK our moderators @umer446 & @RomyChamoun & our Expert @BilalMohammadMD! Plz let your comments tricke & we will post #ScopingSummary soon
