I want to try to explain something about testosterone and performance, since it has become the ‘fixation’ and the ‘the fix’ for inclusion policies for both DSD and trans athletes. So here’s a thread to ‘debunk’ and explain why T level, per se, is not quite the right place to look
As the Hives once sang "Hate to say I told you so" Ruth Chepngetich the women's marathon world record-holder has been provisionally suspended after a positive doping test Relisten to the analysis following last years record at podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/che…
In sport, when a performance makes you wonder if it's too good to be true...history says it probably is. Today, again. Imagine how much more if the doping is more sophisticated, and if the authorities weren't trying. We watched with a mixture of amazement and despair
A massive sanction. It won’t hugely surprise many. AIU should be given a lot of credit, catching champions and world record holders, regularly. But clearly, unsophisticated doping methods are in use. Also, have they not heard of carbs and gym? Don’t dope, just carb up and lift🎪

Fact check: Trans people aren’t banned from sport—no more than adults are banned from youth leagues or heavyweights from lightweight boxing. Sports rightly regulate categories for fairness & safety, and that means excluding males from women's sport.
In the UK, trans people are banned from participating in Football, Cricket, Netball, Rowing, Athletics, Cycling, Swimming, Rugby (Union and League), Cue Sports & Hockey, & you want to ban them from a non-competitive, community running event? This is about erasure, not fairness.
