Emil "Pops" Kenesky and his family made pads for many goalies in the #NHL. At the time practically every goalie wore pads created by Kenesky at their shop in Hamilton, Ontario. Sawchuk, Bower, Hall, Worsley to name a few. I loved visiting the store as a child. #HamOnt

#OTD (July 26) in 1940, #Habs 4 time Cup winner Bobby Rosseau was born in Montreal, QC. He played 10 seasons with the #Canadiens finishing his career with the #NYR. He won the Calder trophy in 1962 for #NHL Rookie of the Year. #GoHabsGo

First game I ever attended at Maple Leaf Gardens was a WHA Toronto Toros game against the Minnesota Fighting Saints. It was an 11-2 blowout win for the Toros. Former #Leafs Frank Mahovlich, Paul Henderson and Mike Walton were playing. John Garrett was in goal for the Saints.

OTD 1938: Eddie Shore saved not one, but 3 lives! Let's take a moment to remember Eddie the hero. 👏

Michel Belhumeur in the midst of his record setting (the wrong kind) seasons with the expansion Capitals. In '72-73 he was a new NHL goalie with the Flyers and the future looked bright. Alas, he ended up looking like a crash victim with his red painted mask peeling:

1976 Memorial Cup Champions Hamilton Fincups. Coached by Bert Templeton. Captained by #LGRW and #Leafs alumnus Dale McCourt. Other future notable #NHL players on that team: Al Secord, Willie Huber, Ric Seiling and goalie Al Jensen to name a few. Great #HamOnt sports memories.
