My new story, About Graham, was written and partly set here, on a writing residency. You can read it over at The Account: A Journal of Poetry, Prose, and Thought.

It’s publication day! My heart is very full. Am so thankful to so many people for helping me get here. There were so many moments I thought this would never happen! Thanks to anyone who has bought a copy, who has read it! Thanks to all the lovely messages of support!
I love that this story made its way to Ireland after being inspired by workshops I attended there with Claire Keegan and Tessa Hadley. And in @the4facedliar - that pearl of a lit mag!
We loved The Piners by @SapphoLang, a beautifully crafted short story that manages to distill years of complex relationships into a few pages. Lisa Lang is a writer from Naarm. Her novel, Utopian Man, was a winner of the Australian/Vogel Literary Award. the4facedliar.com/product-page/t…

Someone needs to write the first truly great American satirical novel of the 21st century and call it Gulf of America.
Got a beautiful send off from my workplace of 14 years. Started a new job this week, and got shortlisted for the Newcastle Short Story Award!

Massive thanks to everyone who read my story and/or sent words of encouragement. Honestly can’t believe how lovely you’ve been. We still have a great community of writers and readers here ❤️

I wrote a story. It was rejected 42 times before being published. Now it's published, but no one is reading it. Being a writer is fun, you should try it.
I wrote a long story about making art and caregiving which sounds like a bummer, but it isn't! Really! It's just been published by @TheAccountMag theaccountmagazine.com/article/lang-2…
Only 2 days left to send us your work! Our submission window for Issue #3 closes at midnight on August 14th. @IrishWritersCtr @PENIreland @MunLitCentre @writing_ie @poetryireland
The first Munro I read was Runaway. I remember I was in bed and my heart was literally pounding, as if I was reading a thriller, at how she just nailed life to the page.
