For anyone interested, this is the reality of airdrops over Gaza. Another propaganda stunt. No solution here for starving people who need specialist feeding and care.
🧵 Last night, the Israeli army began airdropping international aid over #Gaza after nearly 5 months of a suffocating blockade. While they may appear as relief, these airdrops are deeply humiliating and reinforce the very starvation they claim to solve. Here's why 👇
Israel says it can’t let Palestinian refugees return because that would undermine the Jewish majority in Israel, but so does incorporating the West Bank & Gaza — unless Israel maintains apartheid or massively expels Palestinians, both blatantly criminal. trib.al/q1zBpDn
The Israeli army killed 69 Palestinian civilians today in Gaza including 26 while they were trying to get humanitarian aid
EU Commission proposes to partially suspend Israel’s participation in Horizon Europe programme First concrete, albeit very small & inadequate measure in response to Gaza genocide Still needs to be approved by qualified majority of member states tomorrow ec.europa.eu/commission/pre…

Israeli settlers have murdered our beloved hero, Awdah Hathaleen, from the Um Al-Khair community in Masafer Yatta. Awdah stood with dignity and courage against oppression. His loss is a deep wound to our hearts and our struggle for justice. May he rest in peace. We will never…
Israel is committing genocide in Gaza says new report from Israeli human rights organisation @btselem
Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. It sounds inconceivable. But it’s the truth. Israel is taking deliberate, coordinated action to destroy the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Explicit statements by Israeli officials, combined with a consistent policy of destructive attacks…
The New York Times has helped to enable and sustain Israel’s ongoing genocide. A new dossier reveals the close ties of 20 top editors, executives, and journalists at the Times who have covered Gaza and their connection to Israel and Zionism. mondoweiss.net/2025/07/the-ne…

The reputation of the @BBC is in tatters over its Gaza coverage. Clear bias and manipulation.
For an interview @BBC asked a 17-year-old kid in Gaza, who is being starved, if he or any of his parents have affiliations with Hamas, and the producer said— I quote “it’s policy” to ask this. A teen being starved to death, currently in a slaughterhouse is being asked this.…
Settler terrorism continues in the West Bank. Taybeh is attacked again. This is not about few radical settlers. This is about the state the funds and protects them.
The Israeli total devastation of the town of Beit Hanoun in North Gaza. Netanyahu’s Plan is still the ethnic cleansing of the population of Gaza.
By now you know airdrops are expensive, dangerous (they kill people) and deliver minimal aid…and not to those who need it. The only way is open borders and UN and NGO actions directly to those who need it. Airdrops are one step up from GHF death traps.
Here is the latest report from Gaza, which confirms UAE & Jordanian involvement alongside UK in air drops. International pressure seems also to have shifted Israel’s position. Not ideal of course & belated, but still welcome IMO. Gazans seem to think so too.
It appears that Netanyahu realized the current aid policy was a catastrophe weeks ago. But was determined to hold on until the Knesset break began before announcing a change so that Ben-Gvir and Smotrich would not be able to dissolve the government. Today is the 26th which is…
Yes, if they actually get involved. This is Israel looking for any way to polish up its awful reputation. Recommending Ireland plays a part is just playing Israel’s game. Let’s just see how it turns out.
As said in my earlier post, this is not an ideal solution. This effort is being run by the UAE & Jordan. Are they complicit in an ‘Israeli propaganda effort’? As I said before, people of goodwill can differ when it comes to the best strategy to employ in this tragic situation.
Even the normally reticent International Committee of the Red Cross said that Israel's restrictions on food for starving Palestinians in Gaza had “long exceeded every acceptable standard — both legal and moral.” trib.al/x224gp8
Goodwill? Sure. But encouraging Ireland to involve itself in an Israeli propaganda effort needs to be called out. Have you bothered to check the outcome of the last one of these “humanitarian” airdrops?
People of goodwill with the same wishes (in this case relief of the Palestinian people) can disagree respectfully about means to that end as I hope you will agree.
This NYT article includes statements of genocidal intent by an Israeli government minister. @CIJ_ICJ

Members of European Parliament, do you remember how the majority of you voted last year to “strongly condemn Hamas’ hijacking and looting of aid”, despite lack of evidence, as a way to “bothside” the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza?
