For those who are new to following me. My research focus is Russian philosophy from the 19th and early 20th century. Specifically, existentialism, politics/ethics, and metaphysics. My doctoral research is on Lev Tolstoy and Friedrich Nietzsche.
Descartes argued that animals don't have souls. That they are autonomous creatures without emotions. It is moments like when a cat cries for dog companion who just passed away where I'm reminded of how wrong Descartes was.

This isn't actually Godzilla but baby Godzilla grown up, crying/screaming over the death of his/her father/mother. This is from Godzilla vs Destoroyah, which is one of my favorite Godzilla movies. Canonically, every movie after this one is not of Godzilla but Baby Godzilla.
