What's stunning about this hunger crisis in Gaza is that it is not unfolding in some remote part of the world, allowing leaders to feign ignorance; no, this starvation is in the headlines, on television and much discussed -- yet still the world shrugs and the US is complicit.

Polls show Democratic voters have a less favorable opinion of Israel than they do of Cuba. Yet Democratic Party policy supports strict sanctions against Cuba and unconditional military aid to Israel.

The term “humanitarian crisis” obfuscates more than it reveals. It’s forced starvation. It’s blockade. It’s genocide. It’s manmade & it’s only solution is divestment, freedom, & justice. Anyone calling for “aid” without these is calling for death, just slower.
