Father & son This medal bar holds the WW1 medals of Royal Engineer sapper Priestly Jennings from Armley, Leeds, alongside the WW2 medals of his lost son, Robert Jennings of 9 York & Lancs Regt who was KIA in the Arakan, Burma, in Feb 1945. #WW1 #ww2 #medals

Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot Norman Taylor Phillips was shot down and killed during action with Me109s over Manston on 8 Aug 1940, probably by Oblt. Muncheberg of III/JG26. His Spitfire, K9905, crashed and burned out. #ww2 #RAF #battleofbritain #spitfire #LestWeForget

Chindit silk 'panic' map of Burma. Also used as a recognition signal for aircraft if lost. This one belonged to Rev T Ruggles Fisher who volunteered for the 2nd Chindit Expedition in Burma with 46 Column 2 Kings Own Royal Regt. #WW2 #chindit #map #Burma
