Today's tokusatsu streetwear spotlight is a personal one. It's the reversible bomber jacket used in 36 of the 47 episodes of Kamen Rider BLACK RX, and episode 7 of Juukou B-Fighter. This is the story of how tokusatsu taught me the importance of archival fashion. (1/???)

The biggest one, outside of the wear and scuffs being in different places? RPM's variant of the large scale Go-Phone and Wing Trigger props deliberately exclude the kanji on their respective keypads.
What makes you think that these were commissioned for RPM rather than just being the sentai props? Wouldn't they have just manufactured them in-house in New Zealand if so?
I adopted 12 new roommates. These large scale Engine Souls, crafted by Rainbow, were the essences of the talking vehicle characters in Engine Sentai Go-Onger (2008) Only 6 of them appeared as nameless "Engine Cells" in New Zealand-shot sequences for Power Rangers RPM (2009)

HOPE IS REAL AND HIS NAME IS ULTRAMAN. This is an extremely exciting development and I can't even begin to imagine what it took to get an full-fledged live experience like this off the ground. I'm excited for the possibility of more stage shows like this across the states.
It's finally happening. November 15-23rd, 2025. American Dream Mall 1 American Dream Way, East Rutherford, NJ 07073 Court A. Come see a real, OFFICIAL Ultraman Live Show! Sign up for details here: ultramanliveshow.com #Ultraman
They were made for use on Power Rangers, but they're not American-made. Rainbow is a Japanese prop house. Those two costumes are still Japanese-made. The only difference is they're commissioned under Saban/BVS/Hasbro's money instead of being commissioned under Toei's money.
i'm amazed at both this suits and jiraiya's one from PR being literally a 100% american made suit for 1 or 2 episodes, really, that's so much dedication for a one off character
Lmao This is seems to be a tee from New Zealand brand "BARKERS" The typography and the founding year look consistent with the current logo on their site. I cannot speak to the MSRP of this tee, but as of this writing BARKERS tees average around $40-70 NZD
someone deadass paid 3.4k for clothes you could probably get at the thrift store
It began with video clips of three Kamen Rider projects hastily churned through the machine of corporate hubris under the wake of Power Rangers' runaway success. And now through simulcasting, Kamen Rider is back on US television in a media landscape where it can exist as itself.

It was never just about Power Rangers history to me. It's much greater than that. And it's certainly much greater than me. And by caring for these costumes, I'm lucky to be part of the 1988 Toei Hero lineup's wider global legacy.
